چکیده
The carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFRTC) has been applied in the manufacture of automobiles. in-situ damage sensing and nondestructive evaluation techniques are important automobile industries. In this paper, Carbon (CF)/Polyamide (PA) composite was sensed using electrical resistance (ER) on tensile flexural stresses specimens. CF dispersion CF/PA evaluated ER calculated an empirical formula. manufactured with different weight fractions injection process. load specimens difference as loads increased. correlation between arranged some equations. array form at 1 cell area composite. ability dependent fraction because bad CF. real-products made can be ER. 20 wt% added PA optimal condition for

Statistical Analysis of the Progressive Failure Behavior for Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Composites under Tensile Loading
An analytical approach with the help of numerical simulations based on the equivalent constraint model (ECM) was proposed to investigate the progressive failure behavior of symmetric fiber-reinforced composite laminates damaged by transverse ply cracking. A fracture criterion was developed to describe the initiation and propagation of the transverse ply cracking. This work was also concerned wi...
متن کاملEffect of Fiber Surface Treatment on Wear Characteristics of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyamide 6 Composites
Ozone modification method and air-oxidation were used for the surface treatment of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-based carbon fiber. The surface characteristics of carbon fibers were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The interfacial properties of carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 6 (CF/PA6) composites were investigated by means of the single fiber pull-out tests. As a result...
متن کاملTensile and Flexure Strength of Unidirectional Fiber-Reinforced Composites: Direct Numerical Simulations and Analytic Models
A Local Load Sharing (LLS) model recently developed by Curtin and co-workers for the numerical simulation of tensile stress-strain behavior in fiber-reinforced composites is used to predict the tensile strength of metal matrix composites consisting of a Titanium matrix and unidirectionally aligned SiC fibers. This model is extended to include the effects of free boundary conditions and non-cons...
متن کاملOptimal Electrode Selection for Electrical Resistance Tomography in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites
Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) offers a non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technique that takes advantage of the inherent electrical properties in carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites for internal damage characterization. This paper investigates a method of optimum selection of sensing configurations for delamination detection in thick cross-ply laminates using ERT. Reduction...
